Why choose Dr. Harned as your piano mentor?
Tailored Instruction
Dr. Harned specializes in the classical style, having had ten professors of piano as teachers, but also provides instruction to play by ear in popular and jazz styles. He developed these skills after resigning from a church that did not coincide with his beliefs to volunteer in a band playing contemporary Christian music for 8 years in Colorado.
“Dr. Harned is an amazing musician and is great at imparting his knowledge to both new and experienced piano players. In the 6 years that our son took lessons, he learned not just how to play the piano well, but also a depth of musical theory that let our son pass all of the required tests at CU to test out of the base classes for his music major. We highly recommend Dr. Harned as a piano teacher!”
